Ashley got his start with Greenhouse Sports and is a Marmadukes ambassador!
Ashley Facey is a Born and Bred East Londoner. Ashley decided to pick up a table tennis bat in Year 7 after a school assembly inspired the young teen. The coach noticed young Ashley had a disability and had a meeting to discuss the potential future within the Paralympic set up. Ashley decided to go to a Para GB try out that lead to getting selected to represent GB at the Romanian Open in 2009. Ashley missed out on London 2012, but found drive and inspiration from the home games. As time went on Ashley excelled season after season winning two European championship medals and representing Great Britain at two Paralympics games. (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020). Ashley did however retire from table tennis after the Paralympic Games in Tokyo and pursued a short lived career in Para track cycling. Realising he loved and missed table tennis. He is now on a journey trying to quality for the Paralympics games in Paris next year.
